The Luminaire Bravo-1

The LB-1 is a water delivery system which enhances your favorite manual brewing method.

Our patent pending technologies provide precise control of brewing parameters, resulting in better, more consistent coffee. It gives the barista complete control of the brewing process by allowing for instantaneous and repeatable changes to temperature and flowrate.

The LB-1 is energy efficient, requires minimal installation and has a small countertop footprint.

Technical Specifications

  • Temperature accuracy of 0.2 degrees Fahrenheit
  • No wait time between temperature changes
  • Operates on standard 110V 20A power
  • 90% energy efficient
  • Capable of flowrates between 4 and 12 oz/minute

July 17, 2010: The LB-1 is featured at a pourover event at Simon’s Coffee Shop in Cambridge where baristas brewed V-60s of 10 coffees roasted by Counter Culture, New Harvest, and Barismo.

July 2010: The LB-1 is discussed on the New York Times Blog.

April 2010: The LB-1 is introduced at the Roustabout booth at the annual SCAA Trade Show

April 2010: The LB-1 is mentioned in Barista Magazine (page 26-27 of the April/May 2010 issue).

March 2010: The Boston Globe runs a story on Luminaire in conjunction with coverage about the 2010 Northeast Regional Barista Competition

March 2010: Luminaire sponsors the brew bar SCAA NERBC.  Twelve roasters served hundreds of V-60s to the public throughout the competition.
