His work at Luminaire draws on experience at Microsoft, Bluefin Robotics, and as an engineer developing a self-driving car as part of the DARPA Grand Challenge. Chester is a mechanical engineer who also designs his own circuit boards and writes software. This unique skillset allows him to build complete systems quickly and to inexpensively prototype a new concept. While at Microsoft and Intuit, Chester designed and built software that is used by millions of people. Ask Chester about his 3D printer and rapid product development.
Ben's skill-set combines systems engineering with product design and interaction design. He has extensive experience prototyping systems, oftentimes bringing together software, web applications, and electronics components. He has designed and built web applications and software systems for many Fortune 500 companies including Walgreens, 3M, and the US Military.
Andrew is a software engineer with a deep knowledge of the fundamentals of computer science. With a master's degree in Computer Science, Andrew has experience with everything from web applications to desktop software to embedded development. At Luminaire, Andrew is responsible for architecting and leading our firmware development. Ask him about the trials and tribulations of compiling everything from source.
